On December 12th, visiting professor Dr. Sapna Kudchadkar presented Grand Rounds to the Department of Critical Care. Her lecture was titled “Illness Doesn’t Mean Stillness: Creating a Culture of Mobility for Critically Ill Children.”
The past year was extremely productive for Safar Center investigators. In 2018, over 70 articles were published by our faculty and trainees.

Safar Center Scientist Dr. Cameron Dezfulian was recently elected as a Fellow of the American Heart Association (AHA).
An abstract submitted by Pitt medical student Maria Lanyi to the Dean’s Summer Research Program (DSRP) was recently awarded a Certificate of Merit Award.
This year, the Safar Center hosted two outstanding students from the University of Bath, Tim Craine and Marcus Hook.
