An abstract submitted by Pitt medical student Maria Lanyi to the Dean’s Summer Research Program (DSRP) was recently awarded a Certificate of Merit Award. Maria’s abstract was titled, “Child survival following traumatic vs. non-traumatic out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.” Maria is in her second year of medical school, and is being mentored by Drs. Ericka Fink and Jonathan Elmer of the Department of Critical Care Medicine.
