Dr. Bailey PetersenT32 scholar Dr. Bailey Petersen was awarded the Early Career Poster Award for the Brain Injury Interdisciplinary Special Interest Group of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Annual Conference. She presented her current research investigating associations of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) DNA methylation and neurobehavioral recovery in pediatric TBI. Her findings suggest that BDNF has potential as an epigenetic biomarker of neurobehavioral recovery after TBI.

Congratulations to Bailey and her primary mentor Dr. Amery Treble-Barna for receiving this award!
