T32 scholar Dr. Bailey Petersen was awarded a two-year Early Investigator Seed Grant from the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) to study the role of physical activity and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in neurobehavioral recovery from pediatric traumatic brain injury. Bailey is excited to continue this work under the primary mentorship of Drs. Amery Treble-Barna, Mike Boninger and Yvette Conley.
