W. Michael Taylor, MD, MPH received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State University, his Master of Public Health in Global Health Policy from The Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed pediatrics residency at the University of Utah, completed his clinical training at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP) as chief fellow in June of 2024.
Michael is currently in his second year of Research training supported by our T32. His research focuses on strengthening health systems through utilizing data and clinical decision support to prevent, recognize, and treat the early clinical deterioration in pediatric patients under the mentorship of Dr. Chris Horvat. Michael has received several prestigious awards during his training including being named the Fellow of the Year at UPMC CHP and the In Training Award from the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
