The Safar Center for Resuscitation Research’s new home at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is now one step closer. Construction has officially begun on the 6th floor of the Rangos Research Center, the building located on the CHP campus where the SCCR will be relocated.

Amongst all the work underway, the new space will undergo two special renovations in order to accommodate the preclinical research of the Safar Center: a state of the art behavioral outcome facility, and an innovative multi-station surgical facility that includes a post-operative intensive care unit. The move is expected to take place sometime in early 2017, and is eagerly anticipated by everyone at the Safar Center.

The faculty, trainees, and staff of the Safar Center are looking forward to becoming part of the CHP family, and to future collaborations with investigators at CHP.
