On June 17th, 2025, at the 2025 meeting of the National Neurotrauma Society in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Safar Center Associate Director Dr. Corina Bondi was elected President of the Society. Dr. Bondi is an Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and remarkably, represents the fifth Safar Center faculty member or former trainee to be named Neurotrauma Society president. Also, on June 17th at the Meeting, Safar Center Director Dr. Patrick Kochanek received the Honorary Award, the National Neurotrauma Society’s highest honor, for his contributions to the field of traumatic brain injury. Dr. Kochanek was nominated for the award by Dr. Anthony Kline, Safar Center Associate Director, and Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Congratulations to Drs. Bondi and Kochanek.
