Gabriela Berger received one of the Top Scientific Poster awards at the UPMC Children's Hospital Summer Research Internship Poster Day Celebration.Gabriela Berger received one of the Top Scientific Poster awards for her presentation titled “Cerebellar Neuroinflammation after Mild Repetitive Traumatic Brain Injury: The Forgotten Therapeutic Target” at the UPMC Children’s Hospital Summer Research Internship Poster Day Celebration.  She is a rising sophomore at Yale University and worked under the mentorship of Safar Center Director Patrick Kochanek, MD and senior laboratory technician Keri Feldman.  The award was one of 8 prizes out of approximately 65 posters presented.  Gabriela stated that her work in the UPMC CHP Summer Internship Program “was an enriching experience that deepened her passion for research, reinforced her commitment to advancing scientific knowledge, and provided a strong foundation for her future research endeavors. She is deeply grateful to Dr. Kochanek, Keri, and the wonderful mentors who guided her throughout the summer.”
