Dr. Caitlin McNamaraT32 fellow Dr. Caitlin McNamara was awarded the Fellow Travel Award for the Pediatric Neurocritical Care Research Group (PNCRG) Fall Conference. She presented her current research on comparing long term outcomes between infants and young children who are victims of abusive head trauma versus accidental traumatic brain injury. Her findings suggest that patients who experience abusive head trauma have worse long-term outcomes and that multi-organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), which was more common in this group, is a contributing factor to these results.

Congratulations to Cait and her mentoring team of Drs. Ericka Fink and Rachel Berger for receiving this prestigious award!!
