Congratulations are in order for several young Safar Center trainees mentored by Anthony E. Kline, PhD, a professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Critical Care Medicine, and Psychology.
Hannah Radabaugh, who worked as a student researcher, and subsequently as a temp technician, had an amazing 100% success rate in graduate school acceptances. She will be attending the University of Miami. We are happy to report that she will continue her studies in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) at the University of Miami. Hannah leaves the Safar Center with 7 co-author papers (2 as first author) and more in the works.
Kileigh Nassau worked with Dr. Kline for almost 2 years and will be a co-author on several papers. She will be attending the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she hopes to integrate her law, and her studies in TBI at some time in the future.
Isabel Bleimeister, who joined the laboratory last summer as a CNUP summer undergraduate research fellow recently received the 2017 Outstanding Undergraduate Research award in Psychology at Carnegie Mellon’s Meeting of the Minds. The CNUP summer undergraduate research fellowship is a highly competitive process and accepts only 12 students out of 200 applicants, Isabel is currently working on her first manuscript.
Peter Niesman was awarded an Amgen summer scholarship at Caltech, where he will spend the summer, and will be working on a first author paper during his free time.
Elizabeth Sharkey, another trainee in the Kline laboratory, will be studying abroad in Heidelberg, Germany.
