At the 125th Anniversary Celebration of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) on November 14th, Dr. Patrick Kochanek was honored to be one of the distinguished speakers, amongst several prestigious lecturers commemorating the 125th year of institution.

His lecture was titled “An Academic Perspective on the impact of WRAIR on the field of Traumatic Brain Injury, Discoveries, Innovations, Products, and the Creation of the Golden Age of TBI Research.” Dr. Kochanek has had a lengthy and fruitful collaboration with WRAIR, and discussed a number of the findings from those investigations. In addition, Dr. Kochanek is currently the lead investigator of the Operation Brain Trauma Therapy Consortium, a ground breaking program funded by the United States Department of Defense.
