Former Safar Center T32 Fellow Jessica Wallisch, MD, was recently featured as the Early Career Investigator for the month of March in the journal Pediatric Research. The piece highlighted Dr. Wallisch’s accomplishments as a young investigator, including her research work on aquaporin 4, cerebral edema, neuroinflammation, and traumatic brain injury.

Dr. Wallisch graduated from the Safar Center’s NICHD-funded T32 Program, Training in Pediatric Neurointensive Care and Resuscitation Research Fellowship, in 2018. She has since taken a position as Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Kansas City, MO.
