Undergraduate Safar Center Trainees Anna Greene and Elizabeth Ogunsanya Receive SACNAS Travel Awards for the Second Consecutive Year

Anna Green (left) and Elizabeth Ogunsanya (right)  have worked in the laboratory of Safar Center Associate Director Dr. Anthony E. Kline  in the Department of PM &R for over two years.  They  received travel awards to attend and present their research at the 2014 Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) National Conference in Los Angeles, CA. , which showcases cutting-edge science and features mentoring and training sessions for students and scientists at all levels. This is the second year that Anna and Liz have received travel awards to attend SACNAS. Liz received the award for best poster in Biology for her poster titled “Lorazepam is a safer alternative to antipsychotics for attenuating brain injury-induced agitation.”
