Mild Hypothermia

We doubled survival time in lethal UHS using mild hypothermia (34°C). In the 3-phased resuscitation outcome model, survival rate to 72 h was improved with minimal fluid resuscitation (above) and further improved with the use of mild or moderate hypothermia during UHS(Kim, et al: J Trauma 42:213, 1997; Takasu, et al: SAEM Meeting 1998).
