Graduate Student Jing Ji Receives Travel Grant from Neurotrauma

Jing Ji, a graduate student in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health working under the mentorship of Dr. Hülya Bayır, received a travel grant for the upcoming Neurotrauma 2009 Symposium. He’s current work focuses on the oxidative stress and antioxidant therapy using the in vivo and in vitro TBI model. His abstract submitted to the Neurotrauma meeting aimed to evaluate the effects of a novel mitochondria-targeted electron-scavenger as a potential anti-apoptotic agent after CCI in PND17 male rats.
