Dr. Patrick M. Kochanek guest speaker at the opening ceremony of the new PICU/CvICU at Children’s Hospital of Orange County

On September 26, 2007, Dr. Patrick M. Kochanek served as one of the three guest speakers at the opening ceremony of the new PICU/CvICU at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Orange, California.  Dr. Kochanek’s lecture was titled “Cerebral Resuscitation: Quo Vadis.” Other honored guests included Dr. Robert Bartlett, inventor of ECMO, and Mary Fran Hazinski, RN, MSN, FAAN ofVanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.  Dr. Kochanek was invited by Drs. Anthony Chang and Nick Anas, directors of the cardiac and PICUs, respectively.
