Lauren Bueke Receives First Prize At Children’s Hospital Of Pittsburgh Student Research Day

Lauren Bueke, a summer student and sophomore undergraduate at Notre Dame University, received first prize at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Summer Student Research Day for her work at the Safar Center on the effect of emergency preservation and resuscitation on neuronal death in an experimental model of cardiac arrest.  Lauren was funded by Children’s Hospital in a program that featured a competition between 35 students.  She was mentored by Drs. Tomas Drabek and Patrick Kochanek.  Great job Lauren!
